it's cheap, really cheap. only available in canada and not particularly popular. initial smell is sweet nail polish remover. body is thin, with an overpowering burn and not much smoothness. i don't suggest drinking this neat as it is not pleasant. a definate mixer, it acheives what a 40% spirit will do if one wants to on the cheap with a dire aftermath the next day.

I tried this vodka because I had heard of its success at the San Francisco world spirits competition. I was highly disappointed. It was bitter, smelled poorly and even after being frozen, produced a long burn. It was like Smirnoff. Very mediocre. I tried to make a liqueur out of it - cashew nut vanilla - which I'd made before with SKYY and even that could not make this palatable. Diluted to about 15-16% with water and sugar syrup it still burned.

I've tried alot of different vodka's, and this is by far the best. I drink it straight, in the form of a shot, and it is simply delicious. Of course, if it's good straight, its good mixed... but why take away from the triple distilled magic. The taste of russian rainbows will linger in your mouth even minutes after the shot, making it all that much more enjoyable. I definitely recommend it, plus the price is fantastic.

I have enjoyed "Vodka" for years, responsibly of course, I was a fan of "Level" and "Absolute", however a friend came by with a bottle of Alberta Pure, I must say the taste was incredible, not only is clean and crisp, it also contains a smoothness that can be enjoyed both mixed and strait. I challenge anyone who has a chance to taste this drink tell me different. Keep in mind a Vodka or "liquor" price is not nearly as important as the initial product, simply said "u cant judge a book by its cover" Salut, Andy M. Kuper

Once in a while I'll have a martini to help me get to sleep. I tried the Alberta Pure and to my amazement I had no hangover the next morning. Probably due to the triple distilling which takes out most of the impurities that cause hangovers. The taste was pretty good too.

Quite rough. Alberta Pure is a cheap drink. Only good for chasing with cheap beer.

Very good. I have been a vodka drinker for the past 30-some years and I have tasted many excellent vodkas. Although this isn't the best vodka I have tasted, it is the best for dollar value. I recommend this tasty treat to all. Enjoy!

Best bang for my buck I have ever had. Clean and tasty. A wonderful treat.

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews of Alberta Pure Vodka here. Of course, it's neither Ketel One nor Belvedere, but it is a very decent, smooth vodka, with enough grain taste and without the unpleasant industrial alcohol smell that so many other, overrated brands exhibit.

I was put off by some reviews but it was on sale. Pleasantly surprised.

As a Canadian I felt it was my duty to try a Canadian Vodka, at least once. Zubrowka is my go-to and needs no introduction. I have tried more European and Russian vodkas than I can remember. I was very pleasantly surprised and I will absolutely recommend Alberta Pure to anyone that wants to try something different from North America... No hangover from last nights taste test. Tonight we go again... Na Zdrowie!

Wow! What a pleasant surprise and it had a pretty good price. I like my vodka poured over ice with no mixers to ruin the experience. You can't go wrong with this one and I just bought a full case.

It's a country song in liquid form . It's cold and hard and rough When I drink Alberta pure I feel like the brightest star on the darkest night . Reminds me of tail gating with my cousins at the lake it's one hell of a drink

Bought Alberta Pure Vodka because of the radio ads and awards. It was horrible.......... smelled like it was a rotten batch and ruined my raspberry martini............. not even Raspberry Sour Puss could disguise the bad taste. Took it back to Cascadia Liquor Store and they exchanged for Absoult Vodka and there was a huge difference........

If your looking for the best then this is the vodka to run from in the opposite direction just like one of bill Cosbys drinks; it has an initial taste of "oh this is not bad!" But then it hits you it tastes of vanilla that someone spilled massive amount of acetone and MEK into (tastes the same as they smell) but on the other hand you can pick up a bottle on sale for less then $15 so if your simply looking to get drunk spend the other $5 and get literally anything else. This is a drink I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy and should only be give to the most Heinous of Devils like Ivan the terrible, Adolf hitler and Hillary Clinton. I'd rather sacrifice myself to the Aztec God of the sun then buy this again; it's not even suitable to use in a Molotov cocktail as I'd be afraid of the poor souls I threw it upon getting some on it in their mouths.

Alberta Pure Premium Purely misses the premium mark. Like many people who have tried this vodka, I too was intrigued by the ads and the awards that it had won, claiming it to be a premium product. But sadly to say Alberta pure premium vodka is by no means a premium drink. I was hoping for a Great product at a fair price but after trying it, I would classify it in the ranks of Smirnoff and absolute and skyy. I enjoy my vodkas and while I'm not an expert it's very easy to tell the difference between Alberta pure and a high-quality one like Grey Goose or Pravda. It's price point puts it on par with the other vodkas of its quality and while it's not terrible, it's definitely a drink for mixing and not for drinking straight. It has a harsh smell, bitter taste and burns on the way down. If you're looking for premium quality then I suggest you look elsewhere - as for vodkas in this price point might I suggest Stolichnaya as a good alternative, it's no Grey Goose but from what I have tried it is one of the best vodkas in that price range.

Want good time with friends and become drunk? well Alberta pure not da wae. Brudda listen to me, when drink this vodka you will not feel okay.

I figured I'd give it a shot, well it was worst than I expected. Harsh aftertaste when I did shots and mixing it made it really sweet. Can't complain about the price, you get what you pay for. I'll stick to my regular brand from now on.

It is a budget, low profile bar mixer vodka.I have been in numerous taste tests and drink a 5 o'clock martini daily and this is a back up,after a few others
Reviewer: Fraser

AB vodka is well below it's given price point, and should be priced a bit higher for the quality. It's a smooth, robust vodka that has no "nail polish remover" odor as mentioned by some commenters. A mild distinctive, yet non-invasive profile that pleases the tongue, (and the tummy when it doesn't burn on the way down). This is the smoothest vodka for it's price range, and as a seasoned vodka drinker, I can assure it it is well worth the low price point and cheesy corporate branding.

I have had many different Vodkas. Not my drink of choice, but I love a martini, and occasionally enjoy vodka neat. In short, and excellent drink for the price. Grey Goose, Belvedere: no. But neither is it pretentiously overpriced. Easily on par with your Finlandia, Stolly, etc., all at a higher price point. I believe this one will have a place in my cabinet. Cheers!
